By letter dated July 17, 2013, the Luxembourg authorities responded generally and provided some of the information requested. Specifically, the response included a description of the legal principles and national rules to be complied with by the Luxembourg tax administration (Administration des contributions directes) at the time of the adoption of a ruling on corporate taxation (“tax ruling” or “ruling” (4)), set out the procedure for obtaining such a ruling and the information to be submitted by the taxpayer and indicated whether or not the rulings adopted by the tax administration were published. The Luxembourg authorities did not respond to the Commission’s request to provide it with the list of tax rulings adopted in 2010, 2011 and 2012 by the tax administration and any other relevant information, such as the corporate name of the companies, their activity, the date of the rulings, the period of validity of such rulings and the type of transactions covered by such rulings.

Of course, Rome is not a place for private transportation, but it is a great place to walk around…and especially to see the best of the history of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance. Because in this sense Rome is full of the best traces of these eras.
Next to the Forum and Colosseum are also the remains of the Imperial Forums and Trajan’s Market, as well as the beautiful Trajan’s Column. With a little imagination, it is easy to step back in time here.
But Rome’s great golden age was not only during the Roman Empire, it was also the birthplace of the Renaissance. The best place to see traces of this era, and of the modern age, is to take a visit to the Vatican City and the city’s fountains.
The trip took 38 days and we did a total of 8230 kilometers by car and 543 by bike. As in the other trips that I have published in this blog in travel diary format (trip to the North Cape, Scotland and Ireland, Norwegian Fjords, Slovenia), I will detail the accommodations, travel costs, etc … of each day, with the particularity that this time I will publish them at the end of this entry instead of explaining them day by day, since explaining in the previous way 38 days would make a very long entry.
